Draft Employee Handbook

The Town of Manchester-by-the-Sea has reviewed our personnel policies and procedures and is pleased to offer an updated, more streamlined employee handbook for your review. A Public Hearing was held on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 1:30 pm at Town Hall, 10 Central Street, Room 5 for public comments on the revised handbook. Our HR Consultant, Erin Stewart of Insight Performance, will be available at Manchester Town Hall for questions on the following dates and times:

Monday, July 22, 2019—1:30pm-3:00pm

The Board of Selectmen intend to do their first reading, and possible approval, of this handbook at their meeting on July 22, 2019.

Asked those in attendance any comments/questions and received the following:

Question/request of Town Administrator to review and update vacation time section and that 17 years should be changed to 20 years for earned 5 weeks vacation.

Request of the Town Clerk to remove Greg's name from the Welcome to the Town letter for continuity and use for the future.
