The Manchester Board of Health’s Annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2019. To register for this event, please email your name, address and phone number to email@example.com or phone in your information to 978-526-7385. You will receive a confirmation from the Board of Health, which will include an appointment time, as well as a list of the acceptable/unacceptable items for the collection. As the cost is determined on a per car basis, we ask that participants please contact their friends and neighbors and make every effort to carpool to this event.
In addition to this once a year collection day, the Town does provide the following options for disposal of other household hazardous waste year round:
Mercury thermometers & thermostats
Collected at the Board of Health Office, Town Hall.
Free digital thermometers to residents who turn in mercury thermometers
Proper Disposal of Needles, Syringes & Lancets

Ni-Cad, Button, Lithium, and Rechargeable Batteries
Collected by the Department of Public Works Office, Town Hall
Automotive Oil (no oil/gas mix) and Oil Filters
Collected at the D.P.W. Garage (off Pleasant Street) Wednesday mornings
Collected at the Transfer Station during regular Transfer Station hours
T.V.’s and Computer Monitors
Requires the purchase of a sticker (fee charged) from the Town Clerk’s Office at Town Hall.
