New Book Release in Honor of Manchester's 375th Anniversary

New MHM Book

Just Released! In recognition of 2020, Manchester’s 375th anniversary year, “The History of the Meeting Houses of Manchester-By-The-Sea, Massachusetts” has just been completed and is a celebratory gift to the community. This 56 page booklet was written by historian and noted local author, Robert Booth.

It tells the story of Manchester’s successive meeting houses that were the center of combined civic and religious activity from 1673 to about 1820.  Readers will learn about the town’s governance and worship during that period, with fascinating historical context sketched in.

Printed copies are now available for purchase for $10 in the Selectmen's Office at Town Hall and the Manchester Historical Museum. Cash, Check and Credit Cards are accepted.

To access your free digital version, go to the Manchester Historical Museum’s website at http://manchesterhistoricalmuseum.org/

The booklet is the perfect holiday gift for friends, neighbors, relatives, and town memorabilia collectors!
