Wishing all Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!  Enjoy time with family and friends.  We look forward to a productive 2018 and welcome your engagement.

Last Call!  Still have not taken the latest citizen survey for the new Master Plan? The survey remains open through the end of the year.  Find it on the Town’s web site home page.  Your input matters.

No Change in Normal Trash Pick-up Days!  A recent pamphlet mailed by our vendor, Waste Management, contained errors regarding which days trash is picked up on various streets.  Please note that there have been no changes to the normal day your trash is scheduled to be picked-up.  We apologize for any confusion.

Citizen’s Panels being formed for the DPW Director Search as well as a new Advisory Group to the Town Administrator:  As we embark on hiring a permanent Director for the DPW we would like to have a citizen’s review panel assist in assessing the semi-finalists.  The current timeline has the panel being active in January and February. Also, a small informal advisory group is being formed to provide suggestions and feedback to the Town Administrator on town affairs.  Interested residents in either of these volunteer opportunities should contact the Selectmen’s Office

Recreational Marijuana Facilities in MBTS: We’d like to hear from you regarding recreational marijuana establishments in Manchester by the Sea.  Representatives of the Board of Selectman, the Board of Health, and the Planning Board will be hosting two listening sessions for townspeople to raise their concerns.  The first session was held on December 4thThe second session is scheduled for Saturday January 27th, 9:00-10:30 am at the Manchester Community Center.  Resident participation is essential in developing future policy.  Please join us.  Your opinion is needed.  We’ll be there to listen and discuss future options.

Holiday Schedule for Trash, Recycling and Compost – pick-ups delayed a day due to the Christmas and New Year’s Holidays.  Take advantage of the new used clothing curb-side pick-up service.
