BOS WEEKLY UPDATE – February 15, 2018

Town Budget Forum: The Selectmen will host a public forum on the proposed FY19 Town Budget at their meeting Tuesday, February 20th as part of their next regular meeting (delayed a day for the President's Day holiday.) Comments are welcome.  The draft budget is available on the Town's web site.

Open Selectman's Seat: With Tom Kehoe deciding not to seek a 5th term, there is no incumbent running for the Board of Selectmen in the May Town Election.  Any registered voter can file papers to be a candidate.  For details, stop by the Town Clerk's Office.  To be a candidate, a petition with 26 voter signatures are due by March 27.  Other elected positions for which papers can be filed include the Housing Authority, Library Trustee, Moderator, Planning Board (3 positions) and the School Committee.  We encourage you to get involved!

New Assistant Needed: Another way to engage in town affairs is apply for a vacancy we have in the Selectmen's/Town Administrator's Office.  We are looking for a full time Executive Assistant who can take charge of a very busy office and provide skilled support for a wide range of functions. The job description can be found on the Town's web site or contact Town Administrator Greg Federspiel for more information.
