Share your vision:  The Master Plan Community Survey is now open to all residents through September 16, 2016.  Go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/mbtsvision Help us steer the right course for the future of Manchester.

Attend the Master Plan Visioning Open House at Manchester Essex Regional High School on September 26 from 6-9pm. Meeting room is fully accessible, and every effort will be made to accommodate those in need of translation or communication services. Please contact Town Planner Sue Brown at 978-525-6436 or by browns@manchester.ma.us if you require such assistance.

On September 19th, the Board of Selectman will be holding a Public Hearing to review and gain feedback on the parking changes that were made at the start of the summer. Look for more details next week.

Water Ban:  The town-wide water ban continues.  Despite some recent rain, the State has issued a Drought Warning, one stage shy of an emergency.  Please continue to conserve water and honor the outdoor watering ban.  No washing of cars, driveways and sidewalks.  Please only hand watering of plants & yards between the hours of 5PM and 8AM.

Per order of the Fire Chief:  Effective Immediately, all open burning is prohibited.  No campfires, open flame cooking fires and recreational fires.  This includes open fires on the town beaches. This is due to the unusually dry weather conditions and dry fuel conditions.  The use of charcoal cooking fires and gas cooking fires are allowed.  Thank you for your cooperation on this issue.

Trash, Recycling & Compost: Trash and Recycling will be collected Monday and Tuesday, September 12th & 13th   from Manchester’s new hauler Waste Management and compost will be collected by Black Earth. Trash, recycling and compost will be picked up on a weekly basis; bins should be placed at the curb by 7am.
