BOS Weekly Updates - February 13, 2020

Town Hall will be closed on Monday, February 17 in observance of Presidents’ Day.

Board of Selectmen Meeting: Tuesday, February 18 at 6:30 p.m. in Town Hall room 5. Discussions will include a forum on the 2021 budget and a presentation by the Parks and Recreation Department on future fields in Manchester.

375th Storytelling Workshop: Tuesday, February 18 from 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Manchester Public Library with renowned Storyteller, Elisa Pearmain. Learn how to create and share stories based on Community, Town, and Family memories. For adults and children aged 9 and up. Limited to 24 participants and requires registration at the library.

375th Lecture Series - Native Americans on Cape Ann: Thursday, February 20 at Sacred Heart Parish Hall. Reception begins at 6:30 p.m. and program begins at 7 p.m. Come learn about the Wigwams on Sawmill Brook Presented by Mary Ellen Lepionka, local scholar of archaeology and early history of Cape Ann. Presented by the Manchester Historical Museum.

Annual Town Report Photo Call: Do you have pictures of the places and/or faces of Manchester-by-the-Sea taken in 2019? Each year your community photos are a special part of The Annual Town Report that is compiled and distributed to all residents ahead of Town Meeting. Please send all relevant photos (in a printable resolution) to: marlettat@manchester.ma.us

DPW Update: The Town Common Revitalization Project will begin on approximately 2/18. Access to the front door of Town Hall will be limited at times. A temporary construction fence will surround the project for pedestrian safety. The side door will remain open and is handicapped accessible.

Trash, Recycling, Compost: Delayed one day due to the holiday. Monday’s trash will be collected on Tuesday 2/18 and Tuesday’s trash will be collected on Wednesday 2/19.
