Congratulations to Muffin Driscoll and Arthur Steinert for their recent election to the Board.  Muffin begins her third 3 year term and Arthur begins his first 3 year term, taking Paul Barclay’s place who opted not to seek reelection.  Thanks to all who took the time to vote.

And congratulations to Volunteer of the Year Olga Hayes and Employee of the Year Todd Fitzgerald.  Both were honored at a ceremony at the Crowell Chapel with many appreciative residents and town staff in attendance.  A special thank you was also extended to retiring selectmen Paul Barclay.  Thanks to all who were able to attend!

The Selectmen are committed to reviewing, assessing and providing alternatives to support the efforts of our Firefighters ensuring a balance of public safety and fiscal responsibility.   The discussions that began during the winter’s budget process will continue with a goal of solutions being developed by the fall.  Have ideas?  Let us know what you think.  Even better, consider becoming a call firefighter!

The Outdoor Water Ban has been removed for now. Residents are encouraged to continue to conserve water.  A new tiered water rate structure is being developed that will provide financial incentives to use less water.  The proposal will be the subject of a public hearing at the June 5th Selectmen’s meeting.

Trash, Recycling and Compost pick-up are on the regular schedule
